FA Cup Third Round Serves Up Charity Shield Rematch

The draw for the 3rd Round of the FA Cup has taken place and it has produced some intriguing match-ups.

Once again, Chelsea have been picked for the plum tie, as they remain at home to take on holders Nottingham Forest in a rematch of last seasons Charity Shield. In the other all Division 1 tie, high flying Watford will play Liverpool.

In an unusual draw, most of the Division 2 sides came out early, with Luton playing Manchester City and Division 1 Tottenham hosting Wimbledon.

The Division 3 sides were mostly in the hat until near the end, as newly promoted Wolves, who beat Newcastle get to play another Division 3 side in Leicester. Coventry City, who knocked out Southampton, were rewarded with a home tie against Manchester United.
